Hannah is a classically trained cellist. She  abandoned the cello at 14 because she wanted to be in a band and felt the bass guitar was cooler. The bass was only picked because, like the cello, it only had 4 strings, and therefore she'd be able to play it more easily.

Hannah formed a band at university called Vaudeville. The highlight for Vaudeville was being banned by the student union for featuring a poster of a breast feeding baby.

After Vaudeville Hannah had a creative hiatus of ten years before joining The Sweet Ordeal.
